The Pride St Louis Scholarship
The Pride St. Louis Scholarship Committee works within the greater LGBT St. Louis community to promote Pride St. Louis and is the fundraising arm for the Pride St. Louis Scholarship.
The Pride St. Louis Scholarship is given each June to a St. Louis area LGBT student(s), student children of an LGBT parent or student allies of the LGBT community to provide financial assistance to attend post-secondary education.
John Van Voris was a long time member of Pride St. Louis, Inc. whose volunteerism and courage inspired all those who worked with him. He died unexpectedly after our 1997 festival. In memory of John – Pride St. Louis, Inc. created this scholarship to honor his dedication. Our goal is to support a student that supports his/her community.
